The Alexandria VA Medical Center, is seeking a compassionate, full-time, BC, Physician to serve in its Fort Johnson Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Leesville, LA.  Located in Vernon Parish, Leesville is known as Louisiana’s Wild West, and for good reason — this is the land where the Coushatta and Atakapa Indians, outlaws and gun-slinging characters with colorful names like Leather Britches Smith called home. On Saturdays, you can visit the 3rd Street Market for local goods and produce.  Candidates must be highly motivated, team-oriented, and committed to the care and exceptional health of our Veterans.  The Alexandria VA Medical Center is fully dedicated to providing top-quality medical care by serving and honoring America’s Veterans. 

Highlights of this position include:

• Competitive Starting Salary $210,000 - $235,000
• Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm. NO CALL
• Will manage and provide care to scheduled and unscheduled patients in the outpatient clinic setting
• Serves as an integral member of the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) team, similar to a medical home team, and is expected to work closely and coordinate patient care with other PACT team members
• Responsible for the supervision of/or collaboration with primary care mid-level providers
• Regularly attends staff, departmental, and medical staff meetings
• Must be a U.S. Citizen. Non-Citizen candidates will be considered if a U.S. Citizen is not found
• Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State

 Additional Requirements:

• Board Certified with Family Practice and/or VA experience preferred
