Job Summary:

Westchester Medical Center, in Valhalla, New York, the major teaching hospital for New York Medical College, is seeking an outpatient Internal Medicine (IM) physician to serve as Medical Director for the Adult Primary Care Center (APCC). The outpatient internal medicine physicians, part of Westchester Medical Center Advanced Physician Services, is a collegial group responsible for precepting the IM categorical residents and for all the ambulatory-based education for the IM program. The Medical Director will be part of an academic, multi-specialty, group practice comprised of over 300 board certified hospital and office-based specialists throughout the region. The Adult Primary Care Center serves a very diverse patient population with high acuity and complex medical and surgical histories.

Qualifications / Requirements:

The candidate we seek must be Board Certified in Internal Medicine and ideally would have several years of experience in clinic administration, quality improvement, teaching and outpatient care. The APCC Medical Director will be expected to administer educational initiatives in conjunction with the IM Residency Program Director, to set and ensure quality standards, collaborate with supportive services, and pursue community outreach. This position includes comprehensive benefits, including malpractice and an academic appointment with New York Medical College, if appropriate. The Internal Medicine Residency Program has 60 categorical medicine residents.
