Responsibilities
The incumbent provides professional clinical services within the scope of the clinical Faculty responsibilities and under the guidelines of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)
The incumbent provides supervision of medical care delivery for the organization's clinic
The incumbent will serve as a preceptor and mentor for Resident Physicians which includes observing care provided and providing ongoing feedback
In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for preparing and delivering teaching conferences for residents, students, staff, other faculty, and mid-levels on medical topics as needed

Overview Mercy Medical Center Redding offers comprehensive health care to nearly 300,000 residents in a six-county region. Mercy Medical Center Redding is an award-winning 267-bed regional medical center providing inpatient and outpatient services as well as specialized cardiovascular care, stroke care, orthopedics, neurological surgery, comprehensive cancer care, maternity care, and da Vinci robotic surgery. It is one of only two Level II trauma centers north of Sacramento and houses the only Community Level III neonatal ICU in Shasta County. In addition, the hospitals network of care includes Mercy Home Health and Hospice, Golden Umbrella Adult Day Health Care, and Shasta Senior Nutrition Program. Mercy Medical Center Redding offers comprehensive health care to nearly 300,000 residents in a six-county region. It is one of only two Level II trauma centers and the only Level III neonatal ICU north of Sacramento. In addition, the hospitals network of care includes Mercy Home Health and Hospice and Dignity Health Connected Living, which serves nearly 72,000 meals a year. The medical staff has over 250 active members who partner with skilled professionals, support staff and helpful volunteers to provide innovative medical services to the North State communities. Mercy serves as a local community hospital as well as a referral center for a vast region from the Oregon border two hours north, halfway to Sacramento (two hours to the south), east to Nevada and west to the Pacific Ocean.
