Department Overview
The Physical Therapy department evaluates and treats children with a range of diagnoses . For example, gross motor development delay, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, Down syndrome, and orthopedic injuries. They work in conjunction with other interdisciplinary clinics like the Down syndrome. clinic. They assist and train children and caregivers in the use of adaptive equipment to promote independence.
Position Summary
Responsible for the evaluation and provision of physical therapy services to children; the accompanying written documentation and verbal communication needed to administer care including physician orders; provides patient/family/caregivers, staff and student training; provide a safe, clean environment; provides proper care for departmental equipment; manages time effectively and promotes patient/family, physician and intradepartmental satisfaction. All of the position's duties are performed within Children's Hospitals and Clinics Standards of Behavior.
This is an inpatient physical therapy position based out of Minneapolis, with potential to float to St. Paul. Potential to partner with pain clinic in this role.
Qualifications
:
BS or BA degree from an accredited physical therapy school. Licensed with the State of Minnesota. BLS certification. Pediatric experience preferred.
