UVA Community Health is seeking to employ an Inpatient Hospitalist Physician to join our rapidly growing provider team at Culpeper Medical Center. Our campus is home to our 70-bed, community hospital, Family Birth Center and 24/7 emergency department.

Responsibilities include:

• .6 FTE Daytime, .4 FTE Nighttime
• Visiting bedside and answering questions
• Ordering tests, medications and treatments
• Communicating with patients, their families and their primary care physician on condition and care
• Consulting with additional specialists, as needed
• Providing discharge instructions about further care, medication and follow-up
• Sending a hospital care summary to your primary care physician

Members of our team:

• Physician and APP liaisons, championing education and training initiatives
• Participating and leading various quality and safety committees for an individual hospital or the health system
• Change agents, identifying and leading process improvement efforts
• Administrative partners with hospital and medical staff leaders to help facilitate organizational change
