The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Heart of Florida
AdventHealth Heart of Florida is a licensed 193-bed acute care hospital, coupled with outpatient services including imaging, rehab, lab and wound care, that has been serving the community for over 50 years.

The role you’ll contribute:
The Nurse Coordinator provides team leadership to the Chest Pain Program. Works collaboratively with physicians from multi-specialties in developing clinical best-practice, coordinating patient-flow processes to accurately and effectively treat chest pain. The Nurse Coordinator is responsible for organizing team meetings, compiling clinical data for presentation and following up on team recommendations. The Nurse Coordinator provides clinical expertise and support to other nursing departments in respect to those patients that present with chest pain. The Nurse Coordinator monitors and assures that patient care is in compliance with SCPC required clinical registries.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
Effectively interprets SCPC Chest Pain Center accreditation standards and develops policies, procedures and protocols to assure compliance; submits recommendations to medical director prior to implementation.
Effectively interprets The Joint Commission, Chest Pain DSC Certification and makes recommendations to medical director for approval.
Work collaboratively with Emergency Department, Nursing and Catheterization Lab leadership to assure compliance with established Chest Pain protocols.
Develops and maintains a strong relationship between AdventHealth and local Emergency Services organizations; provides formal line of communication and quality review process.
Efficiently monitors STEMI Door-to-Balloon operations in respect to established algorithms, health record documentation, physician / staff responsiveness, and patient flow.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Current license as a Registered Nurse with State of Florida, Department of Health
Current certification in ACLS with the American Heart Association.
