We are seeking a Pediatric Gastroenterologist to join our established Pediatric GI division in Raleigh, North Carolina. The WakeMed Pediatric GI program was started in October 2014 and has shown successful steady growth over the past three years. Our team currently consists of two physicians, a nurse practitioner, research coordinator, and support staff. This is a clinical position providing outpatient, inpatient and endoscopic coverage. The division provides comprehensive care for children with GI problems through our outpatient clinic and through consultative support for the WakeMed Children's Hospital NICU, PICU and pediatric inpatient services. Call coverage and clinical responsibilities will be shared with team members.
Some highlights of the program are as follows: * Pure consultation service - pediatric hospitalist and PICU team admit patients * State of the art EMR (EPIC for inpatient and outpatient) * Reasonable patient volume in clinic; administrative time available. * Highly efficient and cutting edge outpatient endoscopy suite with anesthesia support * After hours and weekend foreign body removal done by our surgical colleagues * ERCP support available through adult GI colleagues * IBD program with office based Infliximab infusion service * Recently started fecal transplant program * Collegial staff willing to help you
This position reports directly to the Director of Pediatric Subspecialties and supports the mission, values, and management of WPP.
