M Health Fairview seeks a physician lead for FMOB.
Job Summary :
Works with Primary Care Family Medicine OB (FMOB) providers, Primary Care Leadership, and Womens and Childrens Service Line leaders to provide leadership for FMOB services at our ambulatory clinics and hospitals. Key areas of responsibility include representation and advocacy for FMOB and alignment of FMOB practices across MHealth Fairview. Is a key member of the FMOB Primary Care Leadership team.
Job Expectations:
Works with Service Line Leaders, operations colleagues, and executive management to optimize FMOB practices within both the Primary Care and Womens and Childrens Service Lines. Works to align FMOB with prenatal and obstetric system practices and represent the perspective of family medicine within womens health.
Actively engages in system obstetric and prenatal care quality improvement. Assists in the development and helps to implement clinical protocols consistent with best-known practices. Ensures compliance with the use of these protocols.
Acts as the physician leader to improve the workplace environment within FMOB services.
Works with key stakeholders to improve access, flow and capacity within FMOB services.
Attends and participates in system meetings to represent Primary Care FMOB.
Follows up on Safety Events pertaining to FMOB services, ensuring that standard peer review procedures are followed where indicated.
Leads and coordinates FMOB providers as liaisons to their local Medical Executive Committee and its various sub-committees.
Assist with regulatory and compliance issues.
Consistently seeks out opportunities to expand knowledge of best practices and new developments within related areas and incorporates this knowledge into the operation of the program.

Qualifications
Experience
Experience as a practicing MD/DO for at least 5 years in FMOB
License/Certification/Registration
Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure.
Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
