Responsibilities: The Radiologist operates independently in the Radiology Service under the supervision of the Chief of Radiology. The Radiology Service is a busy department which performs a wide range of diagnostic and procedural examinations. The selected Radiologist scope of practice includes but is not limited to: Interpretation of general radiology examinations (plain film, CT, US, MRI) as required. There is limited sub-specialization within the department for advanced imaging, but radiologists are expected to utilize the full breadth of their skill set. Performance of basic fluoroscopic examinations (such as upper GIs). Protocolling MRI and CT studies as well as aiding medical providers in selecting the appropriate study. Participation in Quality Management activities such as image quality, peer review, and other activities as needed. A tele-service provides radiology coverage after hours, on weekends, and holidays.
